They come in flavored forms that your cat or dog will truly love. Some tablets contain nitenpyram that limits the growth in population of fleas and adulticides that exterminate adult fleas and ticks. They have no side effects but read the product labels carefully before purchasing them; there are tablets that are specially designed for cats only and for dogs only. Mixing them up may be harmful to your pet.

There are popular brands such as Advantage, K9 Advantix Flea and Tick and many others that can kill fleas on your pets effectively. Some products can be used on both cats and dogs, while others are specially for felines or canines only. Here are some of the more popular brands:
